It focuses on the most advanced concepts, techniques, and protocols for managing soft tissue around both natural teeth and implants.
The program combines 22 on-demand video lectures with LIVE and ReLIVE surgical demonstrations and interactive case discussions.
It provides a complete educational journey from theoretical foundations to practical surgical steps, with a strong focus on esthetics, tissue stability, and long-term success.
Main learning objectives:
-Mastery of root coverage techniques.
-Increasing keratinized/attached gingiva around teeth and implants.
-Soft tissue volume augmentation around implants and edentulous areas.
-Correct diagnosis and treatment of mucogingival deformities.
-Clinical protocols to prevent and manage gingival recession.
-Prosthetic-surgical strategies for esthetic optimization.
Curriculum
Lesson 1: Esthetics on natural teeth and implants: thickness vs. attachment
- This video opens a series of web-lectures dedicated to soft tissue plastic surgery around implants. The objective of this first lecture is to outline the differences in esthetic treatment goals between natural teeth and implant-supported crowns, undelining the sinergy with the adjacent elements and the potential of hard and soft tissue in terms of attachment, proportions, texture.
Lesson 2: Surgical resolution of single gingival recession on natural teeth
- In this lecture the Author addresses the surgical treatment procedures that represent the best ractice for gingival recession coverage. The objective is to outline the rationale behind the synergy between Coronally Advanced Flap and disepitalized FGG / CTG. This lecture paves the way for a further comparison between gingival recession treatment options on natural teeth and implant-supported crowns that will be addressed in the dedicated video.
Lesson 3: Connective tissue graft: palatal harvesting technique & graft preparation
- This video allows the Author to describe the rationale behind palatal connective tissue graft harvesting, disepithelization and finishing while showing a clinical example of such procedures. The latter part of the video focuses on suture techniques, in terms of CTG and CTG stabilization, as well as surgical papillae management.
Lesson 4: Lower incisors gingival recession treatment options
- This lecture focuses on Vertically Advanced Flap for the treatment of gingival recession on lower incisors. The Author outlines the anatomical features of this area - especially in comparison with the upper incisors, the importance of pre-surgical orthodontic treatment and timing, before commenting on the surgical procedures that exploit the synergy between CAF and CTG, the latter working as a barrier to prevent future gingival recession.
Lesson 5: Complete dehiscence coverage around implants
- Is it possible to compare soft tissue dehiscence treatment on natural teeth and implants? This video offers an answer, by addressing the different types of peri-implant soft tissue dehiscences, outlining the key factors for peri-implant dehiscence coverage success. the aim is to describe a prosthetic-surgical approach to single recession on implant-supported crown.
Lesson 6: What are the main differences in gingival recession treatment?
- An all comprising comparison between single gingival recession surgical coverage
- Flap design
- Deep and superficial incision
- CTG harvesting and preparation
- papillae management
- surgical technique and suture
- soft tissue maturation and creeping promotion.
Lesson 7: Esthetic management of misplaced implants: abutment choice in extreme cases
- This lecture shows how to successfully approach extremely malpositioned implants in the esthetic area.
- The focus is to offer a series of prosthetic and surgical indications concerning buccally displaced screws, point out decontamination protocols and instruments, and describe how to approach 2 adjacent implants following the CTG procedures outlined in the previous lecture.
Lesson 8: Multiple recession treatment in the upper jaw: rationale and surgical approach
- This lectures outlines everything that must be taken into consideration when approaching multiple gingival recession around teeth in the maxilla:
- anatomical features
- flap design and extension
- CTG management
- suture
- biological width restoration
- cementum-enamel junction preparation
Lesson 9: Soft tissue approach to delayed post-extraction implant installation
- This lecture focuses on delayed guided simple implant installation with contextual soft tissue augmentation, by describing new procedures that allow to intercept future risks of gingival recession and ensure the best esthetic outcome.
Lesson 10: Soft tissue approach to immediate post-extraction implant installation
- In this video the Author describes immediate post-extraction implant placement with contextual submarginal CTG. The description starts by outlining the critical importance of correct implant positioning planning in post-extractive sockets, then switches to a step-by-step commentary of all the clinical phases of this novel approach. The last part of the lecture shows how bigger post-extractive sockets can be approached with immediate implant installation and contextual submarginal CTG
Lesson 11: Soft tissue augmentation before implant installation: the connective rationale
- This lecture describes an innovative subepithelial connective tissue graft technique for soft tissue augmentation in Class III ridge defects that allows in situ maintenance of a connective tissue "platform", aimed at ensuring horizontal and vertical soft tissue augmentation in a single surgical step. The description covers both the rationale behind the technique and its clinical application in several clinical scenarios.
Lesson 12: Multiple recession treatment in the lower jaw: rationale and surgical approach
- This lectures outlines everything that must be taken into consideration when approaching multiple gingival recession around teeth in the mandible:
- anatomical features
- flap design and extension
- CTG management
- suture
- biological width restoration
- cementum
- enamel junction preparation
Lesson 13: Gingival recession treatment on lower incisors: what to do when…
- This lecture describes the treatment of gingival recession on lower incisors in those cases where orthodontic therapy is not possibile.
- The Author recalls the anatomical features of this area - extensively outlined in Pt.1 - and describes the clinical procedures that ensure connective tissue graft stability and the correct verticality of the vestibulum depth.
Lesson 14: Complex case: multiple gingival recession and contextual soft tissue management
- The video shows a VAF + CTG surgical approach on lower incisors. The thinness of the tissue to be approached, the presence af a narrow papilla with almost no keratinized tissue and an extremely shallow vestibulum depth make this case a very complex one. The step-by-step description offered by the Author allows to appreciate the rationale behind the clinical management of this case.
Lesson 15: Soft tissue improvement of edentulous area
- The video shows the surgical soft tissue improvement of an edentulous area in the upper jaw. The bone defect is treated like a pocket (via root scaling and amelogenin application), while the soft tissue restoration passes through the application of 2 soft tissue "walls", harvested respectively from the tuberosity and the palate.
